New Year, New Ways

Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved. (Matthew 9:17).

In biblical days, wine bottles were made from animal skins. New Wine here refers to unfermented wine. Now, while new wine is in storage in a bottle, a process of fermentation sets in that eventually weakens a wine bottle. Any introduction of new wine into an old wine skin will therefore set in a new fermentation process that the old bottle can't “bear“, it will burst open.

We are finally in 2014: A Year of _______ (depends on your denomination). It is a brand New Year and we can't keep doing the old things that didn't work last year. Not only will the “old things that didn’t work“, even the things that worked last year not suffice for this year. If we have to repeat the things that worked, it has to be done with fresh approach. It is said that doing the same things and expecting different results is craziness. In 2014, Let’s together do our part to make our lives more beneficial to our world. “Brighten the corner where you are”.

As we go through this New Year  may the Lord fulfill that which concerns you in this year. May the Lord bless you. May He be your guide. May He be your protector and shield. May He grant you wisdom. May He strengthen you and grant you endurance. No weapon against you shall prosper. You will not be a failure. Situations will not overcome you. You will manifest His glory. A vessel of honour you shall become unto the name of our Father. In His name you shall find joy and comfort.

Enter 2014 with boldness!
Leave no territory uncovered!
Fear no evil!
God will be with you!
In Jesus Name.

Have A Prosperous and Happy New Year
